Why is public transport so painful?

Things strike me: 1. Kings Cross Underground is a complete cluster***k that should be
just kept closed until they’ve finally worked out crossing passenger
streams is a bad idea. Seriously. They could have dug more tunnels in
the time it’s been broken and yet every day it’s the same.

2. Why is it Nat Express don’t offer 89p burgers, or whatever the
MacDonalds price is - considering either people get on late trains
clutching a bag of bad food, or wishing they did? Gouging prices just
means I go hungry and east toast. 3. Public transport is an OK concept. Public transport every day with
idiots becuase there’s no other option is a crap concept foisted on
those with no alternative, hence the ridiculous pricing and service.
If I hand over my card to spend £500 plus, I’d at least get a smile,
even in a poncy Covent Garden clothes store.

Nokia and their vision for Augmented Reality

So what am I doing here?

I’m trying to work out exactly what I’m going to post here (and by corollary of autoposting, on Tumblr as well). I’m keeping my main blogs at www.thewayoftheweb.net (digital marketing, publishing, media, journalism), and www.140char.com (microblogging) going, and won’t be replacing them with Posterous quite yet, so I’m left with a choice.
Either I start using this as a personal lifestreaming diary, as I once thought about doing with a Blogger blog, before I realised I’m not quite interesting enough to be able to post regularly.
Or I post up anything quirky and interesting that I fancy sharing - things like Youtube videos that amuse me.
The third option is to target this at something - for instance, collecting interesting adverts or magazine covers etc…
In the meantime I’m just playing around to see what the options are for various things - what the video and image uploads are like for example, and how easy and efficient it is for me to use.
Plus the formatting options I’ll need to use.
On the bright side, the combination of Posterous and Windows Live Writer for my Wordpress blogs means that creating content is starting to get a bit easier. Which is lucky, because I’ve got to get off the train (and therefore the free wifi) to go to work!
